it is funny ,it is often the comments I get, "I think Opera is the best but i work with fidelio"Funny
thanks again
sandrine
it depend on wish side you want to emphasis, like back or front of the house, cause Fidelio is good also latest edition of the company Opera, but it remain in a way or another very fragile concerning the quantity of data stored in your history files, it need from time to time a deep cleaning for it history.(you can store it on your hard disk )
My self i tried different types Like PMS, Pro-logic,and Fidelio.. i did not notice big difference except at the beginnings of your usage.
N.B : for beginners Pro-logic it has no logic at work.it is good only for accounting ...
thank you for your reply, which one do you think is the mostly used?
as I am planning to train people in france
OPera is the most common used nowadays even the old hotels try now to update from fidelio to opera.
thank you very much, what do you actually do, don't worry I am married and I have children! but what do you do as you seem to know hips!
sandrine
Really, i'm workin as a front office receptionist.
you are in France, search for something according to the number of rooms you have, cause if you are looking for a system! you have to take into consideration -how much- cost is very important.
if you want i can send you the mail of a person that can introduce a system to you that can be convenient to your needs.
hi,thank you first for your comments, I am not actually interested in the cost of the software ,more of the mostly used software or the most efficient software as I am going to train people on it.
thank you again for all your input
sandrine

Hi Sandrine,

I believe Opera is the preffered PMS software in the industry currently.

Opera is very versatile in it's reporting module and allows for powerful customization. It also has a very powerful accounting module with flexibility to interface to multiple accounting packages and back office systems. As for functionality it is amazing and it also provides a great audit trail in regard to employee operations. Everything that goes in or out of Opera is tracked. It is also very important to remember that Opera has a excellent support structure via the EAME office in Ireland.

If I were a consultant looking at broadening my PMS knowledge, I would investigate Opera.

Kind Regards,
Dewald.
